Resumen del Editor

Return to the enchanting world of the Montague siblings in the finale to the New York Times bestselling and Stonewall Honor-winning series, featuring a teenage Adrian Montague as he desperately seeks the now adult Monty and Felicity—the older siblings he never knew he had.

Adrian Montague has a bright future. The sole heir to his father’s estate, he is an up and coming political writer and engaged to an activist who challenges and inspires him. But most young Lords aren’t battling the debilitating anxiety Adrian secretly lives with, or the growing fear that it might consume him and all he hopes to accomplish. In the wake of his mother’s unexpected death, Adrian is also concerned people will find out that he has the mental illness she struggled with for years.

When a newly found keepsake of hers—a piece of a broken spyglass—comes into Adrian’s possession, he’s thrust into the past and finds himself face-to-face with an older brother he never knew he had. Henry “Monty” Montague has been living quietly in London for years, and his sudden appearance sends Adrian on a quest to unravel family secrets that only the spyglass can answer.

In pursuit of answers about the relic, the brothers chart a course to locate their sister Felicity. But as they travel between the pirate courts of Rabat, Portuguese islands, the canals of Amsterdam, and into unknown Artic waters, the Montague siblings are thrown into one final adventure as they face a ghostly legend that threatens their whole family.

A swashbuckling good time
The finale to Mackenzi Lee’s Montague Siblings series has arrived—though I’m not sure I’m ready to say goodbye. This series has been such an unexpected, wild adventure, and its conclusion, The Nobleman’s Guide to Scandal and Shipwrecks, doesn’t disappoint. Narrator Christian Coulson returns to give voice to Adrian Montague, now a teenager, as he discovers the existence of the siblings he never knew he had, Monty and Felicity. There are pirates, there’s fantasy, there’s romance, and plenty of everything listeners have come to expect and love from Lee. If we can’t have more of the Montagues, then I hope Coulson will finally answer my pleas to narrate more audiobooks! —Katie O., Audible Editor

love this series, love this book

The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue is one of my very favorite audiobooks, and the Nobleman's Guide to Scandal and Shipwrecks is a worthy sequel. I adore Monty and was so happy he came back as a major character in this book and seeing the love of the Montague siblings is so touching. I also love Adrian, who we last saw 20 years ago as a colicky baby. Like all the Montagues he struggles with his mental health, and his thought patterns are just so relatable I couldn't help but love him.

Once again we are on an adventure around the world in search of magic so subtle we are left wondering if it is real or not. If you are hoping for a love like Monty and Percy again, we see some continuation of their relationship but Adrian (our MC) has already found love and his fiancée stays behind and doesn't participate in the adventures. the focus of this book is much more focused on mental health and familial love, which was wonderful, but don't come in hoping for much romance (though the ending with Monty and Percy is adorable and wonderful).

Long story short, this is the perfect end to the Montagues, I laughed, I cried, if you read the previous books, get this one too.
p.s. Christian Coulson narrates again and I cannot stress how amazing a job he does

A beautiful end to an Adventurous trilogy.

I love the realistic characters and their flaws and how well the Monetegues stick together. Another fun tale and a great ending to our heroes' tales.

A great ending to an excellent series!

Excellent ending to the series. One of my favorite series has come to an end and I'm a bit speechless. Adrian is a great character who struggles with generalized anxiety disorder and a bit of OCD, but, as the book shows us, he is much more than just his illness. He managed to reunite with his siblings and embark in a journey to several different countries—a journey which is as much physical as internal. I wish we had even more time with these characters, but I'm happy to let them go live their lives. If you've read the other two, you already know you can't miss this one.

A Stellar End of the Trilogy

Wow, just wow. Every time I'm not sure if Mackenzi Lee can do it again, she does it again. If you enjoyed the first two books in this series, you're sure to love this one. It's charming, hilarious, and weaves together new characters and old favorites masterfully, despite being set quite a few years after the previous book.

Adrian is such a great character, and the portrayal of anxiety was both powerful and relatable. He was such an enjoyable character to get to know, and his journey with Monty was heartfelt and hilarious, making me laugh out loud and come close to brink of tears. It was really everything I could have wanted out of this final book in the series.

And of course, Christian Coulson is one of the best narrators out there. He adds so much life and charm to the text, and I'm delighted that I discovered this series in audiobook in part due to his excellent work.

touching in a way I never expected.

I listened to the first two books some the ago and expected to be on a similar adventure through this book. I was surprised by and impressed with Adrian's character and the representation of mental health in this book. his struggles with intrusive thought and sometimes paralyzing anxiety was a relief. I am so thankful that such vivid and realistic descriptions are finding there ways into adventure stories. thank you for sharing these experiences. the rest of the story is just as fun as you would expect. a rush telling of family, myth and alternative worlds we will in.

Loved it! Coulson's Performance is Fabulous!

Marvelous!

What a fantastic adventure. And I loved how characters from the past stories find their ways into Adrian's tale.

The way Mackenzi Lee tackles Adrian's conditions is beautifully handled, as is the way his friends and family deal with his reactions throughout the novel.

Exciting and dear, and thoroughly enjoyable.

Christian Coulson delivers a stellar performance in the audio version.

Absolutely bloody brilliant

Mackenzi Lee takes us in for landing, ending the Montague-sibling trilology with utter grace! I absolutely loved this book! The witing has her usual elegance and word play and there's a heartwarming and exciting adventure driving it all. The narration is easy on the ear and the witing is fun and playful but still there's made space for heavy themes like family legacy, mental illness and sexuality at the heart of it all. This book really explored the sibling relationship between these three excellently and I couldn't be happier! The conclusion made me cry like a little baby but that's beside the point!
