What happened?

I disliked the no ending ending. I get that a sequel will occur, but this part of the story was not wrapped up.

I NEED MORE!!!!

I CANNOT believe this series!!!! It reminds me of Slow Horses - super suspenseful narrative, every-man characters you can’t help but love and get attached to, crazy-a** rich people, and unexpected/heart-wrenching death and destruction that you never see coming. How dare you leave me on such a cliffhanger!!!!!! This story is not over and didn’t wrap up - it’s only just begun. Start this series NOW! You won’t regret it. Looking forward to the next one

Really good

I would give this 4 5. The only reason I didn't give it 5 is because some parts were not very believable. Otherwise, a really good police procedural with good characters, lots of action, and a nice little plot twist.

Cliffhanger

Ends with a cliffhanger and no real ending. This was disappointing as it doesn’t seem to show another book in this series! I won’t recommend because of that.

Love this series

I missed a meeting on purpose to finish is book and am totally bummed that I have to wait for the next one for the conclusion. Narrator was great. Love this writer. Would recommend reader begins with the first book or they will be lost.

Story was steady and likable characters

Very good overall left me wanting more. Good story line mixture of writing and story type. Easy read/listen kept me engaged.

My new favorite author

Victor Methos writes books with substances not fillers that keep you engaged the entire time. Hands down, my new favorite author.

Great story

This series is fantastic. Excellent writing, fascinating characters, plenty of action. Lazarus and Piper, the main characters, are like dark and light. The narrator is amazing. I can’t wait for what I hope is the next book.

What a ride!

So many moving parts in this book but fitting together seamlessly. The depth of the character development continue to be built as this series is heading toward what I assume will be a satisfyingly thrilling conclusion. Add to it one of the best narrator voices out there- 🤌 loved it.

Twisted and Twisty

I'm still not sure how I feel about this one, even a few days after finishing it.

It's a very complex story-- a bit like a Swiss time piece: one with some extra fascinators on it just to grab attention. It's intricate, fast-paced, and crazy. So it ticks all my main boxes. But there were times when I felt like I needed a program to keep up with all the players. There's also a little bit of flashback action, especially at the beginning. But we're given no warning that we're going into a previous memory, so it takes several paragraphs to catch up.

Maybe I was having an off day. But bottom line, this one was so crazy I could have used a little help. Still-- it's a great story.
