In conformity with the Catholic Church's translation guidelines, the New Catholic Version is intended to be used by Catholics for daily prayer and meditation as well as private devotion and group study as an alternative to other translations currently available.
This faithful audio translation of the New Testament was prepared by the same team as the NCV Psalms released in 2002 and widely acclaimed for its comprehension and copious and informative footnotes.

Paul Michael's voice is great!
The narrator's voice is what first appealed to me. He narrates with feeling without being ridiculously over-the-top. I'm enjoying listening to this version of the New Testament very much.

Best Catholic New Testament Audiobook
Best performance of a Catholic New Testament. No weird or distracting sounds, over-performed voices, etc. Highly recommend. As others have noted, the chapters of the audiobook don’t line up with the chapters of the Bible, so Matthew for example is simply the first two “Chapters” of this audiobook. This can make it hard to figure out where you are or to skip to a particular book or chapter, but I can understand why this choice was made as it does simplify the user experience for the audiobook. I’m just listening to the book cover to cover, so to speak, so I don’t find the chapter naming to be much of an issue at all.

Well read - very easy to listen to
This is an easy listen and would greatly recommend it. I would really look forward to having the Old Testament done like this also. To be able to listen to the Bible when out and about or not able to hold a bible, is a great help.

Maybe the best available?
Captivating narration, and easy-to-listen-to translation. This is definitely worth the money if you want a faithful and enjoyable Catholic audio Bible. The narration is dignified, but never over the top.
