Loved Goodbye Christopher Robin? Learn more about the real place that inspired the beloved stories.
Delve into the home of the world's most beloved bear! The Natural World of Winnie-the-Pooh explores the magical landscapes where Pooh, Christopher Robin, and their friends live and play. The Hundred Acre Wood - the setting for Winnie-the-Pooh's adventures - was inspired by Ashdown Forest, a wildlife haven that spans more than 6,000 acres in southeast England. In this enchanting book you can visit the ancient black walnut tree on the edge of the forest that became Pooh's house, go deep into the pine trees to find Poohsticks Bridge, and climb up to the top of the enchanted Galleons Lap, where Pooh says goodbye to Christopher Robin. You will discover how Milne's childhood connection with nature and his role as a father influenced his famous stories, and how his close collaboration with illustrator E. H. Shepard brought those stories to life. This charming book also serves as a guide to the plants, animals, and places of the remarkable Ashdown Forest, whether you are visiting in person or from the comfort of your favorite armchair. In a delightful narrative, enriched with Milne's own words, you will rediscover your favorite characters and the magical place they called home.

Historia
In The Comfort of Crows, Margaret Renkl presents a literary devotional: fifty-two chapters that follow the creatures and plants in her backyard over the course of a year. As we move through the seasons—from a crow spied on New Year’s Day, its resourcefulness and sense of community setting a theme for the year, to the lingering bluebirds of December, revisiting the nest box they used in spring—what develops is a portrait of joy and grief: joy in the ongoing pleasures of the natural world, and grief over winters that end too soon and songbirds that grow fewer and fewer.

Beatrix Potter (1866-1943) is one of the world's best-selling, most cherished authors of children's literature whose books have enchanted generations for over a hundred years. Yet how she achieved this legendary status is just one of several stories of her remarkable and surprising life. Inspired by her 23 "tales", Matthew Dennison takes a selection of quotations from Potter's stories and uses them to explore her multifaceted life and character: repressed Victorian daughter; thwarted lover; artistic genius; formidable countrywoman.

When Monty Don's golden retriever, Nigel, became the surprise star of BBC's Gardeners' World, inspiring huge interest, fan mail and even his own social media accounts, Monty Don wanted to explore what makes us connect with animals quite so deeply. In many respects Nigel is a very ordinary dog - charming, handsome and obedient, as so many are. He is also a much loved family pet. He is also a star. By telling Nigel's story, Monty relates his relationships with other special dogs in his life in a memoir of his dogs past and very much present.

Brings Winnie the Pooh to Life in Nature
This is one the most delightful books I've ever listened to and it made me want to listen to Winnie the Pooh and watch the Disney movie. The author's writing evokes the life of A. A. Milne, his son, Christopher Robin, the artist who illustrated the books and, of course, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger, Roo, Kanga, Rabbit and Owl. I felt like I was there with Milne, in his school room and with Christopher Robin playing Pooh Sticks. As if that wasn't treat enough, the narrator was spectacular, giving gentle voice to all the people and characters written about in the book. If I ever get the chance to go to England, I will most definitely go to explore the natural world of Winnie the Pooh!

Lovely and beautifully narrated
This lis a lovely and uplifting story of A.A. Milne's enchanted childhood days exploring and being nutured by his natural surroundings in the untainted countryside of 19th century England, and how he joined with artist E.H. Sheperd to create and delight millions of children and adults with his recreation of the Hundred Acre Woods and Winnie the Pooh and his friends.
In our day of lost childhoods, It is a wonderful lesson of the need for children to turn off the digital gadgets, get outdoors, use their imaginations, and experience the wonder of the natural world.
