Ace Bowers
At the age of 22, Ace Bowers faced a life-changing decision: stay trapped in his family’s cycle of poverty or break free and rewrite his future.
The Mindset is a powerful, inspirational memoir chronicling Ace’s journey from an uneducated, overweight janitor battling addiction and depression to a self-made millionaire in Silicon Valley—all within five years. In this raw and honest story, Ace reveals the harsh realities of growing up in a poor, abusive, and alcoholic family and shares how shifting his mindset sparked a complete transformation.
Through candid accounts of struggle and perseverance, The Mindset shows how changing your mindset can unlock success, health, and lasting happiness—even when the odds are stacked against you.
If you’re looking for motivation to overcome adversity, break limiting cycles, and unlock your true potential, this memoir will inspire and empower you.

When Ace got his girlfriend pregnant when he was 21, he realized that he did not want his child to go through the same childhood as he did. He quit his minimum wage job and moved in with his parents for 1 year so he could save and get a place for him, his wife and baby. Ace changed his mindset. He focused on out-working everyone else. He was willing to start at the bottom and work his way up. It worked and he went from minimum wage to a $125,000 a year job.
The book was well written and well edited. I give this book 4 out of 5 stars simply because I am kind of reluctant to give 5 stars to any book. I recommend reading The Mindset by Ace Bowers. The book is short so it would be a quick read.
Interesting account of becoming a millionaire

Big Lesson: Have premarital sex and get pregnant and you will find motivation. While his bounce back was commendable, he is conceited and self oriented. Not materialistic? The cover photo screams materialistic. I kept expecting stories of how he helped other's, but it was more a condescending narrative about how he was doing better and so disappointed that others were not like him. And his values at the end are all just him and how he appreciates only family, but it seems doubtful he would have the same happiness without his "multimillionaire" status. Completely disappointed with this "memoir"of narcissistic self promotion. $8000 is massive debt?? Try $150000 student loan as debt. I wanted to hear how he used his success to help others, but nothing except how his friend made him feel bad because he was addicted and overdosed. Or how his mom's childhood sex abuse made her behave bad. This guy lacks empathy.
Narrator was excellent, spoke clearly and had a decent tone of voice.
Overall I would not recommend. Yes a forward thinking mindset can make change happen...but this is not a helpful tale as it is more just bragging about how good he has it now.
Could be titled "Look at me and my stuff"
