Better Than The 4 Hour Workweek

the reading voice is painful to listen to. and the writing style doesnt translate well. however, for the entrepreneur there are multiple business models you can implement into any business, and the story-based way of describing the business principles makes this a text book for every entrepreneur.

this should be what you listen to INSTEAD of the 4 hour work week. way more practical. way less fluff.

I agree with other reviewers that concerns about the author’s reading are overblown. I thought the author did a fine job reading.

I loved this book! Easy to follow, great examples, tons of inspiration! After you finish you feel you need to jump into action right away.

Inspiring

I read an article by the author which was so useful I went out an bought this audio book the same day. Just like the article, this book is full of great info for starting a business, but from a perspective that you don't get in a lot of other books. The emphasis is that in order to be able to scale a single person or husband/wife business up to a million dollar level, you will likely have to be able to outsource some functions. She has some interesting perspectives on how to do that. This book is certainly worth a read. Her perspectives on health care costs were also comforting, just knowing that I am not alone in paying ridiculous monthly bills.
However, I do with the author had not chosen to read it herself. I think a professional narrator would have been a more enjoyable listen.

I've shared this book with all the entrepreneurs I know. It's the best book I've listened to regarding the specific area of running a one person business, it's full of ideas and motivation for making things happen. I found it very valuable.

Great book!!!!!! Boring Narration!!!!!

This book has a lot of great information. The information I got however, was from the written form. The Author should have had someone narrate for her. Her monotone voice made it hard to concentrate on the topic. If she got better after the first hour, I apologize for this review. One hour is all I could tolerate.

It wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be.

I was hoping to have found much more strategy and advice and concrete principles in this book. It wasn't terrible; just not what I was expecting. It was more a collection of case studies than anything.

Interesting content, poor narration

I got here thanks to appearance on Tim Ferris show. The content is good, interesting, the structure is a bit weaker from my perspective. The audible implementation could use improvement - no naming in chapters, numbers didn't match the text. Most importantly, the narration is poor - without energy, not so pleasant voice, was putting me a sleep within 30 minutes. Speeding up playback helps a little.
