A difficult journey

We’ve all met men like Torren. Angry. Out of control. Repeatedly repentant. Self-loathing and shame color their world. A world strewn with the debris of broken relationships and continued failures. Surrender is hard. Only the Light of Jesus and God’s unfailing and unconditional love can heal the shame and bring lasting change. A wonderful story of difficult choices and second chances.

Audio quality is not nearly as good on this book as with previous books. There's a thin, almost echoing sound to the recording. At least one chapter wasn't edited at all and contains an outburst by the author referencing typos in the script and has several sentences repeated.
Hopefully these issues are corrected in future books.
I'm looking forward to the next book...

Fantastic allegory about the less intuitive way of love

The narration of the female characters was distractingly robotic with an odd, unrealistic cadence. But the overall story was incredibly well written and the performance was emotional enough to hold interest. This author has a deep understanding of the love of God and the power of forgiveness.

I didn’t want to make it one of my pile of books that I’d get back to “later.” Had to keep listening.

So fantastic as usual

This great man of God is fantastic deep writer with awesome creativity. This is your forth novel I have listened to, I will keep looking for anything that has your name on it. They are all life changing books.

The Man He Never Wa

This book is an amazing story of redemption with twists and turns that are so creative. I enjoyed every minute. Looking forward to the next Jim Rubart book!

Chapter 31 is a mess... Covered with edits

Story itself is great! BUT.... The AUDIBLE recording starting in chapter 31 has all the edits and even one part where the reader says "gosh darnit there's a lot of typos in this book"....."these typos are driving me nuts... Driving me nuts" They say certain sentences 5 times with different inflection..... Etc..... Dozens and dozens of times starting in this chapter. Ruins the story and makes it very difficult to follow. How did this totally unedited version make it on here? Wasted money. Should have just bought the hard copy. Unfortunate.

Rubart does it again! He surprised me and drove me through all the emotions of his characters.

to much like life

in the beginning of this story it's confusing but don't stop it gets better .the things he went through as a kid . it's so close real life I just had to get past it. if you parent or husband or wife drinks you may want to find something else to hear.

Light Shed on Your Darkest Self

Forever changed! Never in my wildest dreams had I ever considered NOT despising my rage. Now I know I must accept, love and forgive myself. Then & only then, will she die. Wholeness love cast out all darkness. Fear of her is gone!
