Historia
If there ever was an epic that touches upon every conceivable human emotion and poses the most complex of questions, it has to be the Mahabharata, the most famous of stories from India. In the second book of this exciting three-part series a single roll of the dice reverses the fortunes of the Pandavas. The peaceful years following the division of the kingdom of Bharata are soon to end because of Duryodhana's jealousy.

The Bhagavad Gita, "The Song of the Lord", is the best known of all the Indian scriptures, and Easwaran's reliable and accessible version has consistently been the best-selling translation. Easwaran's introduction places the Gita in its historical setting and brings out the universality and timelessness of its teachings. Chapter introductions give clear explanations of key concepts in that chapter.

Historia
The world's greatest classics retold for children. If there ever was an epic that touches upon every conceivable human emotion and poses the most complex of questions, it has to be the Mahabharata, the most famous of stories from India. The deadly rivalry between the royal cousins, the Pandavas and the Kauravas, can only end one way - in the mightiest of battles imaginable. The gods watch in dismay as the opponents draw up their forces. Will the mighty warriors Bhishma and Drona survive to see the end? And what of Karna?

Historia
These 1028 poems, grouped as 10 ‘Circles’ (mandalas), have variously been called hymns, poems or songs by Sanskrit scholars. The Rik (so pronounced by the ancient Angirases clans, or Seer-Priest families) was an experiment with sound. The emphasis is always on sounding the words perfectly. The focus tends to be on the ideas rather than on the authors in Vedic literature, they are largely religious in nature, reflecting the world view and spiritual preoccupations of ancient India.

Historia
Said to be the world's longest poem, Mahabharata was originally composed in 100,000 Sanskrit verses by the ancient Indian sage Vyasa. Revered as a sacred text within Hinduism, it contains the great spiritual teaching Bhagavad-gita. Krishna Dharma has condensed the epic into a fast paced novel that fully retains the majestic mood of the original. A powerful and moving tale, it recounts the history of the five heroic Pandava brothers, sons of the Emperor Pandu.

Graham Hancock's multi-million bestseller Fingerprints of the Gods remains an astonishing, deeply controversial, wide-ranging investigation of the mysteries of our past and the evidence for Earth's lost civilization. Twenty years on, Hancock returns with the sequel to his seminal work filled with completely new scientific and archaeological evidence, which has only recently come to light.

Resumen del Editor
If there ever was an epic that has touched upon every conceivable human emotion and posed the most complex questions, it has to be the Mahabharata, the story of a great war fought in the name of dharma.
The rivalry between the Pandavas and the Kauravas, the royal cousins who fought for the throne at Hastinapura, ended in a great war. Was it the eldest Kaurava Duryodhana's resentment toward his cousins that sparked the flame? Or was it the eldest Pandava Yudhishtira's belief that he was the rightful heir to the throne? Or was it the force of elements beyond their control that nudged them toward a preordained path? In the first of this three-part series, meet the many characters who played their parts big and small in escalating the tension between the sons of two royal brothers. Discover how it all began.

Eve looks like an ordinary 12-year-old girl, but there’s nothing ordinary about her. She has no last name. No parents or guardian. She’s on the run from a dangerous and secretive organization that will stop at nothing to track her down. And most astonishing of all: she’s a robot, a product of Eden Laboratories. Historia
The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.

good story bad sound
the story itself is illuminating, the precursor to the bhagavad gita, the sound was not what is expected (based on what has been revived in the countless other audible books i have purchased), very hollow amd tiney. Although i thoroughly enjoed the story (s) .
