Wonderful unique story, lots of humor & mystery

We finished off our summer with some trips. And like usual, we enjoy listening to a good book while traveling. I put on a book at the time that didn't start out too well, knowing I had to act fast so the natives didn't get restless, I quickly found something else in my library, The League of Beastly Dreadfuls. We have a good age range of kids and this had us hooked from the get go! It is wonderfully written, with a lot of humor and great character development. If you enjoy fantasy, a little magic, and lots of mystery, you will love this series. We finished the first book, not knowing it was the first in a series, and quickly purchased the second book (which is also fantastic) to finish off our trip. I'll leave a review for that book also. I'm in the animation field and I could envision the characters and scenes vividly as we listened along. Holly Grant has done a great job.
And the narrator...AMAZING! Rosalyn Landor is remarkable at narrating and the different voices, truly a gift. Great book, great narrator, was a winning combo!

fun little romp

Great book. The narrator makes the story come to life. The characters are enticing and I would love to explore the main setting. Great book for preteen and older. I am 44 and loved this story. Can't wait to listen to the next book.
