Great crime story with a unusual twist

I stumbled onto this series by accident. I had finished books in the other three series as I was reading about UK crime and I was looking for another read. I am so glad I did because the series to date has been fantastic. The author knows how to craft a story that keeps you enthralled. and truthfully, I did not want to stop listening until the book was finished. And then I wanted more. I really wish these books were a little bit longer so that there was more time for character development because I'm really starting to be invested in the characters. This book like all the ones before it. have a great crime plot at the center, and the progression towards the catching of the criminals is as good in this book as it was in the first. I can't wait till the rest of the books are transferred onto audio so that I'm able to listen to them.

This was very good, the whole cast of characters present , good story and a bit of hope.

Great story in Wales

Great story, characters, and plot. Wonderful reading for Audible with all the accents and inflections!

This series appeals to me for its grounded, lovable team

The narrator has saved his best, most engaging voice for Evan, the lead, but got many more just right too. This was a particularly good mystery with lots of lyrical Welsh place names and phrases thrown in. All in all, a satisfying experience on many levels.

I enjoy each book more and more

I’ve been listening to this series of books from the beginning and was thrilled to have this one available now on audible. It didn’t disappoint, the story was great and I love the characters. The narrator did a wonderful job too. Highly recommend you to add it to your collection and if you haven’t read Rhys Dylan’s books yet start from the first and treat yourself to them all. I am looking forward to the next one coming to audible.
