Scotch LaHague, an aide to a powerful congressman in Washington, DC, is desperate for a change. How far is Scotch willing to go and what is he willing to risk to keep the young woman safe—and possibly, in the process, stop the terrorist attack?

This book grows and grows and grows on you. Nearly impossible to put down. I started listening to this audio book in my car. When I got home I stayed in the garage for nearly a hour to continue to listen. I couldn't wait for my next road trip to continue to listen. Narrator and author get double thumbs up!

Excellent book! Excellent story.

While a long book, the plot was easy to follow and the main characters were compelling. It was easy to root for Scotch and Toni. I have to admit the first few chapters were slow and boring. But then as our former history professor gets sent to a conference in France the action heats up and there are countless close calls. I enjoyed the listen. Be prepared that this story takes place in the 1980s so the dialogue and tech is a little dated. But it’s a worthwhile listen.
