Great sophomore effort!!

Looking forward to seeing how this turns out for Levi and the others.. as was pointed out “who is the bad guy here”?

loved the story and the history that made up the story. looking forward to more from this author.

FRESH technothriller, strong, engaging concept!

This new author of technothriller has hit the ground running with a strong concept, engaging characters, and satisfying technical details. As befits his background, he is in his wheelhouse with infantry specifically, and military ops generally, bringing them and their practitioners to sympathetic life. Very much looking forward to what he does next.

(I'd have given 5 stars throughout, except that as a Utah boy I kept tripping over a few of the performer's place name mispronunciations. Oh--and the U.S. president's cringy stereotyped accent... Otherwise first rate.)

Alternate History where I'm not sure who to root for

Oh, that was surprisingly good.
There is a lot ov moving pieces and interesting players and perspectives in this novel.
The alternate history is also fascinating.

The accuracy of Mormon/LDS culture

This book was amazing. I am in shock at how accurate and real the cultural aspects of not only American, Israeli, Iranian cultures but Mormon culture. I cannot wait for the other books in the series to be published. It’s fantastically thrilling, suspenseful, and detailed. This book depicts, real life emotions, thought processes and interactions of a conflict in North America with a fictional Deseret. Imagine another series on the conflict with Deseret and the US in 1931!Peace be with you till we meet again.

Good storyline, rough narration

I really enjoyed the story. however, the stilted narration was very distracting. The attempt to narrate the lack of contractions in the Deseret speech pattern did not benefit the story.
