A Great Exploration of Statistics and Uncertainty

This is an awesome approach to statistics and uncertainty, exploring as much the history and origin or concepts as the actual concepts themselves. This book also does a great job of referencing its sources and supporting explanations or arguments with facts and research.

A very fine book

I enjoyed this such that I listened to it from cover to cover 3 times. I should mention that I originally was surprised that some reviews were surprisingly negative, which gave me pause. Now it appears to me that those reviews reflect people uncomfortable with discussions touching on where belief or religious views conflict with math and science. So be it. This is an old conflict. More surprising were what appeared to be hard core Republican and devoted Trumpers miffed by descriptions of the dangers that lay ahead if we ignore warnings provided by climate scientists. So be forewarned, there are a few comments that may annoy the thin skinned, it’s my way or the highway types. Further, the rich textured writing and refreshing vocabulary, so well read would probably not interest the pumpkins anyway. Great book. Inspiring author. Well read.
