Great historical fiction

Love that this book was based on a true story. Strong female protagonists carry the story forward with propulsive movement.

Loved it!

Loved the characters and not knowing where the story would lead. Bring from Vermont it gave me insight to history I didn’t know.

Very good historical fiction. Enjoyed the characters as well as the insights into daily life during the Civil Way.

This was a great work of historical fiction. The characters were well developed, and the imagery of the Shenandoah Valley during Civil War time was excellent.

This is the best of the books I’ve read by this author. The characters were appealing and well- developed,and the story line was great because the research was well done.
