Fairly good story

This is kind of “ghosts and gouls” in the beginning, but stick it out because it gets better! The narration isn’t the best, but the story itself is good. Definitely not the best book I’ve read but also not the worst. Worth the credit.

Good Book, Strange Vocal Choices

An enjoyable story. The narration was fine but the narrator made some strange choices.

The English daughter lives in Albany for three years but has a thick Brooklyn accent ?

I'm now used to people messing up a Maine accent but these people sound like they are from down south. Regional American accents are practically dead, let it rest. They are too easy to mess up.

Also, why can't narrators do their homework and look up how local names are pronounced? Quite a few mistakes here. Not a big deal very few people will notice.

Also the narrator goes from emoting the dialog in one sentence then pivots to robot voice in the next. So strange.

I enjoy Mark Edwards novels, and this one is no exception. If you enjoyed his others you will enjoy this one too.

Strange but good

I was a little skeptical at first, but the store grew on me over time. I enjoyed the narration and the story was well written. Some parts were a little strange, but it all came together in the end.

On the edge of my seat

Entertaining and suspenseful. The story line was thrilling. Creepy and scary made me not want to stop listening. I looked forward to listen and proper Forman every was great.

Not my favorite Mark Edwards story

The narrator's American accents distracted from the story. The story itself was okay. I'm hoping we'll find out what happens next.

Mark Edwards is a wonderful storyteller!!

Amazing book. I didn’t want to stop playing it until the moment it was over.
I loved the build up of the story and the way he introduced all the characters.

Good story, narration not so much

I liked the story but the narrator killed it for me. I should just get a paper copy instead.

love Mark Edward's but this one doesn't compare to some of his other stories.

Great story BUT...

Very good story, loved the twists & turns, really loved the end! BUT...oh my, the narrator. I will try not to be cruel but I will definitely think twice about any audible book he narrates. Sorry....

Mark Edwards delivers again

No one writes an anxiety driven novel quite like Edwards. The situations we find the characters in is something you can easily see yourself in. I was unable to predict the end! which is something I tend to do.

The narrator left a lot to be desired. I had to turn up the speed on the narration to make it bearable. His narration of some characters was rather cringy, but the story really propels the subpar narration.
