When the assigned Lord of Misrule is mistakenly poisoned during the Christmas feast, Lucy is chosen to fill his vacant spot as the Lady of Misrule. With an assassin walking the corridors of Whitehall, Greer and Lucy fight the growing fire between them so they can focus on uncovering the true assassins in Queen Elizabeth's court.

Slightly disappointing him

Compared with other stories by this author, this one was draggy and more predictable. I have loved other books by Heather McCullom, but this one was a disappointment. The saving grace was the narrator. He is such a good actor and perfect storyteller for this type of book.

Love this series!!

I love these books. I wish the stories were longer. I also appreciate the history of Elizabethan times interwoven throughout. Please give us more Heather McCollum!

Romance, mystery, intrigue, history, what more could you ask from a work of fiction? All the afore mentioned features are woven into the story neatly.
