I’m not sure why it bothered me so much but the repetitive use of the word palpable was very annoying. I have enjoyed listening to several other M. L. Bullock books and enjoyed them very much. This one was just a struggle for me.

Ridiculous
The Manor is knowingly haunted, yet the main character who is experienced with the unknown, repeatedly acts surprised and horrified. This is not worth the listen
