Surprised me

Don't know where this was recommended to me, but I am very glad I bought it. There is sadness, and sweetness - sometimes so much that your teeth hurt. But in the end, I felt it was all worth it. If you are saying the plot isn't new, or the ending was cliche, get over yourself. It has HEA and in this world we are living in THAT is as necessary as the air we breathe. Stick around to the author's comments at the end.

In Love

I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to write a review for a book until now. I was very skeptical to read the second book to The Friend Zone because I thought that was amazing and nothing would compare. But I was completely mistaken. This book is now my #1! You don’t need to read TFZ but I highly recommend so you can get the feels for the characters in this one. This book had me laughing, swooning and crying like it was happening to me!! So in love with this book. Definitely a must listen/read!

Wish I hadn’t finished it so fast!

If I were to make one recommendation I’d say to listen to each song at the beginning of each chapter. The playlist is excellent and so clever of Jimenez to use this format.

The storyline is good and dialogue and character development are excellent. This book will leave you feeling good about people. Something much needed in the world.

Highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic

OMG I could not stop listening to this story! I laughed out loud, cried large tears and was so emotionally invested it took me a day to finish it. I have not had that reaction to a story in a long time. Thank you Abby Jiménez!

Not my kind of book

I don’t usually read this genre. That being said I thought this book was delightful and it kept me entertained to the end. I’m glad I took the chance and bought it.

Happy Find & Left Me Very Satisfied

I had not read The Friend Zone when I found this book. I fully admit to picking it because the world was blowing up and I wanted something happy and sweet to listen to when I went to bed. I don't read a ton of romance books, but a romance story told well will hook me. I went into this thinking it would pleasant and nice. I didn't expect to well up in several parts and devour the book for hours on end. With The Happy Ever After Playlist, Abby Jimenez does that rare thing where something that sounds like it's going to be a typical pop culture pleaser delivers something heartfelt and touches deeper than you think it will. I was enchanted and found myself rooting for all the characters.

Only downside on the audible narration is that the Minnesota accents (which are only for side characters) were not that good. It sounded like someone who watched Fargo (which, again, is in North Dakota, not Minnesota) tried to imitate the movie. It's like a copy of a copy and it's the only thing that detracted from my enjoyment. But still worth it.

Great story! I was hooked

Yes, there were some tough subjects & not all was peachy - but it was fun to read about this amazing relationship & story about true love. The characters were endearing & interesting. The music list is incredible. I hope this author has more works coming up.

OUTSTANDING!

Just when I thought the 1st book couldn't be topped, this sequel takes it over the top! I laughed I cried and could not put it down. This is a must read!
