Good story, but too much time spent on cult leader’s speeches.

Cult leader’s many speeches got old after a while. Liked the story otherwise. Short stories and first book were better.

Distinct characters, written and performed

Deaver’s characters are unique and have personality, and Griffith’s performance of them are clear and distinct, even through subtle changes, both male and female.

Good Book

I’ve started reading these books after watching season one of Tracker on TV. I like the book a lot and will read all of them.

Painfully prolonged

This book could have been 75% shorter with the same plot. All the speeches by Eli were overkill.

I loved the suspense and the ending. Rich characters and compelling story line. Well worth the read.

Colter Shaw - Tracker

I am very pleased that I took a chance on this series! As good as the first book was, this one was even better! I believe it's because Shaw is so well-defined BUT he has some back story and loose ends that need tied up. But those will not be easy!!

The main plot here was very interesting along with the narration!! This story felt like it was defining an actual real life person in 2024 and explaining to people through a work of fiction just how much of a charlatan this person is!! Sometimes a painting, a song, a movie, a book explains things better than a discussion or trying to change someone's mind!!

The entirety of this book is very good - everything about it just flows!! The characters, the plot, the story, the narration, the back story.

You can not go wrong with reading this series!!!

New kind of Hero

The survivalist Colter Shaw is our new kind of common sense hero. His purpose to help find lost people, his survivalist skills and his ability to read people’s needs make for some great stories. His unorthodox upbringing and natural curiosity also build this unique character. Well done Mr Deavers.

Very good

Scary accurate depiction of malicious charisma. This book really flows. I love this character, solid and unique.

Better than the show!

I started these books because I love the show. Now the show isn’t that great. I love the detail into Colter. He is a better man, more of a man in the books. He has depth. Being a survivor of a cult, I felt this was done very well.
