What would you do if you found gold? Who would you tell? Who would you trust? Darius Ford, an adventure-seeking sailor, is spearfishing on a reef in The Bahamas when he finds the remains of an old wreck. He tries to keep it a secret when he finds a strange gold box, but as the search continues, he realizes that the reef is inhabited not only by large sharks and other dangerous sea creatures, but the local fishermen believe a legendary creature that has pulled people right out of their boats also lives out there. On top of all this, the threat of thieves lurks in the background.
Should he tell his new girlfriend, Nixie, or his surfing buddy, Luke? How much danger and risk are justified by the possibility of finding more gold? Are the local fishermen watching him? Should he be wary of the other sailors in the harbor? Is the tale of the legendary sea monster real?
He must face his deepest fears and choose between love and gold in this action packed tale of sailing, surfing, spearfishing, and treasure hunting.
