A fantasy world!

This was far more fantasy than what I thought. I read a lot of urban fantasy but rarely delve into anything more hard core. I was also looking forward to terror and didn't get it. So I was a bit disappointed but that doesn't mean the book wasn't good.

The story is written well and delves deep into fantasy creatures such as elves and other various characters. It's a fun story filled with surprises and has an even flow. For someone who really enjoys dropping into another world with mythical creatures than this is a great story to check out.

I found the narrator's tone hard to get into. I wish he'd had more fluctuation and paced better such as speeding up when times got intense and slowing a little when the suspense dissipated.

Overall a very decent story and one I think many people will love.

This is a Fun Fantasy Adventure.

First I want to thank Michael Sanford for providing me with a free review copy of his book. I really enjoyed this and I look forward to the future books in the series. Excellent narration that makes the book come alive. Nik is easy to understand and has good voices/pacing.
This is a typical fantasy "Heroes go on an adventure" story, with good characters. I love that each character has his/her own motivations that both help and hinder the group at different times. It also has a fabulous villain, and I look forward to seeing more of how she will attempt to thwart our heroes. The only negative is the use of pronouns. It was sometimes unclear who is being referred to at the time. But it is still a good book and well worth a listen.

imaginative!

This is a wonderful book! I loved all the unique characters!! I can't wait to find out what happens next.

it was a little complicated to get my bearings with the characters at first. But once I did, I couldn't put it down.

I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book!!

Good ole ginger fantasy

This was a nice start to a series. Thought the story was pretty well written, interesting characters and all. Sometimes the book was really fast paced and other times somewhat slow. I'm not sure if it was the story per se or the narrator. Overall a good listen though.

Good first in series

I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the narrator or author.

I thought the story original, but a little hard to follow at times. I will admit to listening while at work so it could’ve been my focus not the authors.
The main characters were distinct and and well thought out. There are a few twists and a couple of surprise betrayals that you won’t see coming and made the story that much more interesting.

The narrator was clear and very easy to listen to. Although not a lot of difference between characters, but enough to know who was talking. Personally I’d prefer to have it like that than someone trying too hard and butchering the accents or something(very annoying).

I would recommend this to the PG 13 (some language/ lots of blood/ some sexish parts) and any one that like sci-fi/ fantasy books.
