On a well-deserved hiatus from the ghoulish grind of their TV show, Ghoul Getters, psychic medium M. J. Holliday, her boyfriend, Heath, and her best friend, Gilley, are back home in Boston. The crew sets up surveillance cameras to watch for the possessive poltergeist while Luke is sleeping. What did you love best about The Ghoul Next Door?

If I could give this a 4 1/2 I would!

This book was really, really good. The last few have been good, don't get me wrong. This one though was outstanding. There were more plot twists and turns and it was slightly darker than usual.

I liked the stories in Europe with the haunted castles, etc. and the Native American story was good. It showed a different side of the medium aspect. But this harkened back to the murder mystery side of the ghost busting. This time with a serial killer.

Also, the crew was back home so you saw characters you haven't heard about in awhile.

What did you like best about this story?

They had to work back and forth between the past and the present to figure out what ghost they were dealing with

Another great listen!

Back in the States for this one. This story has lots of new twists & turns. This series gets better with each book. A must read but read series from beginning because this one ties in old characters and loves.

More Ghostly Fun!

I really enjoyed this one and Gilley wasn't quite as annoying as he has been in the past so that's a bonus!

So scary!

Probably one of the scariest spook books I have read!

What did you love best about The Ghoul Next Door?

I loved the complexity and the character development. A series like this can become boring but this one held my interest and kept "turning the pages"

Who was your favorite character and why?

MJ is my favorite and with her voice VL develops a wonderful world that I agree with and share.

What about Eileen Stevens’s performance did you like?

For me ES voice fits the characters well.

I laughed a lot and was on the edge of my seat often.

Another great chapter

This war another great chapter in the MJ and crew's story. Great book and wonderful narration.

Another great ghost mystery!

I love Victoria Laurie's books and Eileen Stevens narrating this series. Please keep writing them. Also, please write more of the Psychic Eye series.

Scariest One Yet!

What did you love best about The Ghoul Next Door?

This one was different because the author brought in a stronger connection between real life events and murderous hauntings. This made for a creepy-scarey story that I actually had to turn off sometimes!

What did you like best about this story?

I'm glad that the author and the narrator took a lot of the whine out of Gilly.I still wouldn't miss his character if he moved away,but at least he's not quite as obnoxious in this book. He has been written to sound like a 12 year old,self centered child with an eating disorder. He's supposed to be a tech wiz- kid who happens to be Gay. I'm missing the link between those 2 character types.

What about Eileen Stevens’s performance did you like?

The performance is great as usual. She does the voices very well(even if I hate Gilly's whine)

Keep going...it's lots of fun,especially with Gilly on ritalin,he's much easier to deal with!

Liked the story overall

Liked the story but the character’s backstory changed. MJ cheats and they make her look like the innocent one. Love the series but sounds like it’s losing its charm.

Bittersweet Ending

The ending is a good one and gives closure. Bittersweet. I really enjoy this series.
