A must listen book by Signe Pike

Book two from the series by Signe Pike. I am truly hope for a book three.

Really liking this author and series!

A worthy sequel in the series. Historical fiction/fantasy has always been a favorite subject and it is obvious Signe Pike has done her homework.

Characters are well constructed and performances well executed. Narrator for Lyle was a little distracting at times but isn't the worst I've listened to so it didn't detract too much from the overall experience.

Still giving 5 stars. Eager for more!

Worth Reading

Book one (the lost queen) took me a moment to get into and then I was completely lost in the story!!! Finishing book two within days of it being released. Fantastic story! It’ll be hard to wait until 2023 for book three

Similar to outlander but more intense

This is extremely well written, characters are well developed, the history is researched with care and the story is intricate, heartbreaking, beautiful. Extremely well narrated as well! I love this series.

Great historical fiction!

Loved these first two books in the Lost Queen trilogy, both excellent. Signe is a gifted writer, and once started, couldn’t put them down. She gave these historical figures voice and character weaving their lives into actual events based on her extensive historical research, wonderful storytelling, and understanding of the language and obvious prejudices of the time. The narrators were phenomenal. I love good historical fiction (not fantasy) and this author delivered! Exceptional across the board. I look forward to the third book next year.

Kudos to Signe Pike for another Historical Masterpiece

The richly lyrical, historically-accurate second book in the series, continues to draw the reader into details and stories of Scotland, and the various tribes and peoples. Signe Pike’s strict attention to detail in every aspect from religion to countryside to clothing to battles, intermingling with the language is phenomenal. I look forward to every book she writes. She truly has a gift of words! A definite five gold stars.

Just as good if not better than the first! I can’t wait for book three!

I got lost instantly!

Stayed up late too many nights saying, “Just a little more.” I found the first book by scrolling Audible, and was saddened to learn it was a trilogy where one of the books was yet to be written. I was so glad I didn’t have to wait too long for the Forgotten Kingdom to come out. These two books will not disappoint! Now the torture of waiting for book 3.

Captivating story.

Wonderful story. Wonderful voice actors. Signe Pike is fantastic. The only drawback is that the last book in the trilogy isn’t expected until 2023.

Good follow up to Book 1

But as a fan of Toni Frutin’s narration from book 1, I was frustrated by the seemingly monotone narration of Gary Furlong, to the point of nearly canceling my purchase. Thankfully the story was compelling enough to suffer through his sections.
