definitely one of the more interesting writers from the early church fathers.

Excellent apologia

Incredible historical record of the earliest days of Christianity explained by one of the Apostolic fathers. Truly amazing. Good narrator as well. Wonderful.

Fascinating

Listening to the words of Justin Martyr who lived in a time so close to Christ and the Apostles greatly reinforced Scripture and illuminated the anti-Christian struggles of the day. I couldn't help but make some comparisons to the culture of our day.

An excellent glimpse into the early Christian Church

My impression was that it was like listening to an extremely competent attorney making arguments in front of the U.S. Supreme Court.

I loved that St. Justin uses the language of his audience (the Emperor and Roman Senate) without betraying the Faith.

A bit like listening to a defense by Apostle Paul

According to Justin, the Greeks were persecuting Christians on the grounds of false testimony. He defines who true Christians are by their virtues, as recognized by their keeping of the teachings of Christ, which Justin shared, so the governing authorities could see the benefit of Christians to their society. Justin argued that many of the characteristics attributed to Greek gods to be taken from Hebrew origin from Moses. He explains certain doctrines, like the Trinity, freedom of choice, judgement, conversion, washing, communion (Eucharist). This provided a great defense of the value of Christian lives to the Greeks, as well as the logic of Christian beliefs.

Overall good. Necessary reading to know what the early christians believed

Overall good. Wonderful to hear the beliefs from a non biblical source in AD 150 ish. The only issue with this audible is that the reading is often difficult to follow. I suspect this is because of a lack of punctuation in the original text, but it could have had more inflection to make it easier to follow and less monotone.
