One of the great early Christian writings of the second century, The Demonstration of the Apostolic Preaching is a book all true believers can learn from. In writing to his friend, Irenaeus unfolds the Christian faith by quoting extensively from the Old Testament. He describes it as a "manual of essentials, that by little you may attain to much, learning in short space all the members of the body of the truth, and receiving in brief the demonstration of the things of God." Moses and the Prophets

This book does an excellent job at showing how Jesus was spoken of by Moses and the Prophets.

Worthy of consideration for sure.

The apostle John to Polycarp to Iranaeus. This is a direct link to the Gospel of Christ and the old testament prophesies of his coming.
This short work creates a narrative which is what I believe God wants his followers to understand by reading the Bible. The bible is the greatest story.

It's a very touching book. If you struggle understanding some concepts of Christianity and need inspiration to practice your faith, this book will help you.

Great work, mediocre translation.

The content itself of the Demonstration is unimpeachable. The recording is flawed on two counts: both bizarre misreadings (eg. reading “my Lord and my God” as “any Lord and any God”) and what is presumably a dusty, public domain translation with all the confusing archaism of King James English yet little of the poetry. Worth listening to if you are not easily distracted. The narrator speaks clearly and at a good pace, no issues with the audio as such.

Hard to rate

Interesting. It seemed like a homily for people who didn't have access to Jewish scriptures. He basically covered the history of the OT. Some of his interpretations were a bit strange and were beyond what could be gleaned from sound hermeneutics.
