BOOK 2 OF "LIVING A MEANINGFUL LIFE" FOR ADULTS AND TEENS OF ALL AGES AND BELIEFS!
The Farm is Book #2 of the epic book series, Living A Meaningful Life. The storylines of The Farm are interrelated with those in Book #1 of the series, called The Bench.
The Farm is the next step in the journey of the Living A Meaningful Life series. This installment is the more juvenile coming of age installment full of fun, adventure, and life lessons. They feature the first main character as a child, and thus include some “juvenile” and “coming of age” storylines and serve as a foundation for the series.
The Living A Meaningful Life book series is a “family saga” series, written as an autobiography by the narrator. The journey takes us through childhood, into later adulthood, and spans multiple generations, and includes extended family.
The main premise involves a huge charity organization that becomes a family dynasty. Those who control the charity have proven themselves as having the highest level of integrity, compassion, and deep moral character. The charity is used to change everyone’s lives around them, including their entire community.
This is not just a book series for idle amusement. This is a book series that can change your life in dramatic and profound ways. The series is neutral on religion and politics. This is a series for everyone of all beliefs, and is not used to push any particular agenda or belief. The Living A Meaningful Life series will make you laugh and cry, sometimes at the same time. Mostly, this is a highly humorous series, and the banter between the characters will have you laughing out loud. The father and son relationship which develops is riveting, heartwarming, and inspiring. You will come to love all of these characters, and you will become part of their family. Your life will never be the same again, and you will be grateful for having known them.

Skyler finally had it all...but for the third time, the state had taken everything away from him. It wasn't his fault, though, or was it? If only he hadn't been so stupid. If only he hadn't been so careless. If only he hadn't fallen in love with his best friend, Cameron. Now, sitting in the social worker's SUV, he stared at his new house and the strangers standing on the front steps. His life had been an uphill climb, and now he had to start over. Again. One day, he might call them family, but he had finally learned his lesson.

The events that unfolded following a childhood game of hide and go seek in the woods changed the face of a small town and left a mark that was forever etched into the recesses of a boy's heart and mind.

Cassie Hanwell was born for emergencies. As one of the only female firefighters in her Texas firehouse, she's seen her fair share of them, and she's excellent at dealing with other people's tragedies. But when her estranged and ailing mother asks her to uproot her life and move to Boston, it's an emergency of a kind Cassie never anticipated. The tough, old-school Boston firehouse is as different from Cassie's old job as it could possibly be. Hazing, a lack of funding, and poor facilities mean that the firemen aren't exactly thrilled to have a "lady" on the crew.

Uniquely engaging style of storytelling.
Author Brian Hunter has a uniquely engaging style of storytelling. His books are written almost as several short, yet impactful, life events that forever change and have an indelible effect on our narrator’s life. The Living a Meaningful Life series is written almost as if it were an autobiography, yet it remains fictional in nature as it ensnares all who read it to its important messages.
Picture yourself sitting at a bar with a new friend, at a bus stop next to a stranger, or on a park bench taking in your surroundings when someone sits down next to you. This stranger, or new friend, begins telling you stories from his past. Stories of his summer spent on a farm at camp. Stories of his time sharing a cabin with four other kids, and a female camp down the road. The antics, bonds, and lessons learned alongside this ragtag group of kids are a poignant reminder for even the oldest of readers. The narrator holds such a sense of maturity, despite his young age, that resonates, reminds, and ignites reflection in those that hear his narration of events.
From the beginning it is clear these boys all have entirely different reasons for being there. Different in aspects unimaginable, and yet they come together in a meaningful way. Hunter’s stories have an enduring impact, despite the locale, the characters involved, or the ages of friends along the way, his stories house themes, reminders, lessons, and meanings far exceeding the pages of his books. Wrapping such significant phrases, like “you belong here,” into a relatable setting, with characters we’ve all seen throughout our journeys, firmly roots these reads in our understanding of how to live a meaningful life.
Whether you have many years, or just a few, stretching out in front of you, Brian Hunter’s Living a Meaningful Life series is an extraordinarily pertinent reminder, refresher, and reeducation on how to live life profoundly.
