Rachel Walker is one of only a few humans in the Fae realm. She had gone to help her best friend and queen end a darkness that had been slowly killing the realm and those who inhabited it. Rachel was happy to help the queen and kings in this endeavor, but she was also hoping to escape her own past and an abusive boyfriend who not only continues his pursuit of her, but won’t take no for an answer.
What Rachel had not prepared or been looking for was an alpha, who wasn’t just a gorgeous wolf shifter, but also couldn’t take no for an answer.
Christian is the wolf shifter alpha to all of the realm's winter season packs. He had long given up on finding a soulmate and Luna to his packs, so when he finds her, he swears to do all he can to get her, even if she is human. He soon learns that is no easy feat. Rachel trusts no man, aside for a very select few, and continues to try and push him away even as he tries to understand why.
Can Rachel learn to trust Christian? Will she ever be able to face her past and fears in hopes of living a life of love and happiness? Can Christian help change her mind, in hopes of showing her all men are not like Nick? And if she accepts him? Can the two come together and save the members of their home pack that were and are victims of the darkness still threatening the realm?
