there are parts that get skipped.

all in all its a good listen, but the audio does skip. I wasn't sure if it was at first so i opened my book and listened at the same time. CH8 at 38. 47, it def skipped while the MC was talking to Maeve about 'what's bothering her'.
but otherwise the VA is easy to follow and is clear.

HOOKED

Wonderful story, and couldn't stop listening.
I was sucked in from the start!
At first I was like "Hunger Games"! Then the story started to come alive.
Troy Duran did not narrate any part in the second book. :(
I wish he had more of a role.
While it's an awesome story, and Hollie Jackson does a wonderful job. It's one toned, and could have been brought to life with a secondary voice.
Can't wait for the rest of the story!
Definitely going to relisten to them as the new audiobooks come out.

Love this series so far!

Story: love it
Romance: You know that slow burn in book 1? It gets very detailed and explicit a couple times in book 2, so mature audiences only
Actors: would love to hear more of the guy too but the lady is awesome

Great series

This was a good book. Actually it was a good series. All 4 books! The story stayed true to Greek mythology while also keeping you entertained and adding in their own twist. I loved their love story too. So good. The only disappointment was that Troy Duran didn’t talk enough.

Making new friends and enemies

So, much to shade’s chagrined Sera goes to The Elysean Academy of Light and Beauty and just like he warned her it really is, the most beautiful death trap you’ll ever see which; is proven before the first half of the year is through.
The way this book ends makes you want to jump right into book three.

Holy roller coaster of emotions!

When you don’t think their story could get any more complicated, it can…in the best way possible! Loved this second installment of Sera and Shade’s story. Can’t wait for book 3!

Whiney

The narrator makes the already whiney FMC sound more whiney. It's obnoxious. The FMC is also weak and faints far too frequently for the life she should have lived, she should be stronger! If the storyline and MMC weren't so captivating, I would have given up much, much sooner.

FMC is unbearable-

I’m not through this book yet but I feel the same in this book as I did the first. The FMC is nothing but a whiny brat- stubborn but not in a good/sexy way. The tone of the narrator makes it even worse. Her voice is obnoxiously whiny. The first book I listened to at 1.5 speed just to get thru it. Only reason I picked this series was because it said Troy Duran was narrating. But nope. That’s a straight up lie. I’m not a quitter so I plan to finish- but I’ve stopped and listened to two other complete books in the middle of these books. The story is ok and I want to find out what happens- but if I had know that Troy wasn’t narrating and the FMC was pretty much a waste of space squawk box of dumb- I would not have purchased this series.

the story was okay kind of boring I couldn't even finish it got to chapter 5 lost interest no it was good but just didn't make you feel like the story came to life

I just couldn't deal with the FMC :(

Ok, I love the concept and most of the storytelling but JESUS the FMC is such a self sabotaging, whiny, puss that acts like a 12 year old! Shade is fabulous and deserve so much better that this sniveling mess of a love interest/obsession. I had a hard time with her in the 1st book but thought her character would develop... nope. Book 2 is a big old DNF for me.
