Very compelling story - enjoyed every moment!

I could not put this down! The storyline and writing style were excellent. I love truth based writing and this did not disappoint. If you are looking for an absorbing book you won’t be disappointed.

Courtroom Drama at its best!

I thoroughly enjoyed The Edge of Guilt. It had several parallels to a psychiatric case I had years ago defending a psychiatrist. At first, I thought the title quite odd because in a medical malpractice case, the medical provider isn’t guilty or innocent. However, several of the characters were guilty in a moral sense of many things. It kind of bothered me that you had attorneys breaking the code of ethics but I witnessed attorneys doing almost the same things described. In Oklahoma where I practiced the Judge would not conduct a settlement conference nor would the judge ever meet with the counsel from one side without the other being present so that was different from what I’d experienced. The other thing is my adjuster would not be at a private pretrial conference where the Plaintiff wasn’t allowed as they aren’t a party to the lawsuit. It had me wondering how a judge can be impartial yet trying to convince one side to settle the case, but a lot of odd things happen in the practice of law. The story made me miss practicing law but also thankful I’m not dealing with the weight of the stress. The narrator, Eric Priessman, was perfect for the novel. This was overall a very well-written accurate portrayal of a psychiatric medical malpractice case.
