good book minus the Leftist kook soudbytes
This book is generally good; interesting observations are offered. Written by Hollis, the prose is often turgid and professorial. Another trademark of many books by Hollis is the intermittent political soundbytes where he advertises he is a Left-wing kook. One for all: he writes that same-sex marriage -to him- is the fix to restore commitment and family values. Pfft! Does he read the stats and the tabloids? Marriage is in troubled waters, same-sex or otherwise.

Best book on relationships
A book that blends depth psychology, jungian psychology, psychoanalytic psychology, developmental psychology, and attachment theory. As expected of Hollis, it was beautifully written and I love how succinct it is.
