Resumen del Editor

After being abandoned as a child, Ada has learned to choose her friends and lovers wisely. And then a nuclear winter froze the world, taking everything she fought so hard to keep. When she inexplicably wakes years later in a new world full of magic, and where humans are the enemy, all she wants is to find her two best friends...if they’re even alive.

Jasper knows he is someone damaged and dangerous, the scars on his body prove it. But his memories have been taken from him. He knows not why, or how, he came to be in the locked room with the pretty, vulnerable human, but he knows three things: The King wants him dead, Ada is his mate, and he’ll do anything to claim her.

Trusting each other is their first step to uncovering the truth and avoiding certain death. But how can Ada feel safe with a strange fae who keeps dark secrets one minute, and then stokes the flames of her desire the next? How can she forgive the broken fae for hiding the most precious secret of all - his heart?

The Dreams of Broken Kings is the gripping conclusion to the Season of the Wolf Trilogy in the Fae Guardians fantasy romance series. It features steamy romance, a dash of time travel, monster hunting, a band of brothers, shifters, fae protectors, and their strong-willed women from our time. If you love your books full of action, intrigue, and romantic tension, then this book is for you.

My favorite of the wolf trilogy

I recently discovered the Fae Guardian series and this book is my favorite of the wolf trilogy. I'm looking forward to starting the Vampire trilogy next!

Ok

It was a struggle to continue listening to this book after listening to half of it because it moved so slowly. It took so long for things to come together. Most of the action is close to the end. Narrators did a great job with characters. Probably won’t continue series.

PRETTY GOOD WEREWOLF ROMANCE

First of all, I haven't read a werewolf romance in a long, long time. I'm a hardcore vampire vampire fan and only picked up this audiobook for two reasons: 1) Jasper's voice is super hot, and 2) my boy Indigo appeared in a scene I was itching to know about since I read "The Secrets in Shadow and Blood" (my first ever Lana P's book). Boy, what a surprise I got!

Dreams of Broken Dreams presented me with a couple I actually adore. Yes, I fell in love with Jasper and even Ada, a feat for the author since I dislike the FMC in 8 out of every 10 books I read. Not only that but both of them shared horrible childhoods, something that bonded them since their flaws complemented each other. It made their relationship more intimate and kind of sweet despite the darkness in their lives.

The plot ran smoothly and was well balanced, having action scenes from start to finish. The grammar was flawless, though that's expected in an audiobook. Story wise, Dreams of Broken Kings moved me to tears more than once, angered me (the only time in the hole book I was genuinely pissed off with Ada), and made me laugh. Oh, that scene with blood-drunken Indigo was hilarious. All these reactions made Jasper's book one of my best reads in 2022, winning my LAC (Laugh-Angry-Cry) badge.

Loved this series

Great story line. Couldn’t put it down. They left it open for more stories. I’m sure there’s a 4th book already, but I’ll wait for it to come to Audible.

4.5 Stars 🌟

Well, this series has been a little bit of a roller coaster. I REALLY liked the first book, was somewhat disappointed by the second book, and then was swept away by this last book. I thought about it and I honestly think there are two reasons for this.

First of all, I alternated between listening and reading for all three books. With that being said, I probably listened to at least 75% of all of the books and only actually read the print version for a small amount. I think part of my reaction was the narrator duo. There were three different sets of narrators for each book (just a little information that may or may not mean anything, but for me, I think the author should try to stick with a particular narrator or set of narrators if you are going to have consistent characters for a series - but that's just me). So, it makes sense that I really liked the first set of narrators, did NOT like the second set and then liked the last set. A good narrator or narrator duo can really make a difference in the overall experience - this definitely answered any questions I might have about that.

Also, I did not particularly like the female MC of the second book, while I did like the female MC of books 1 and 3. It is odd that that can impact your feelings and the way you come away from a particular book, but I guess that it really did. When we focus specifically on the last book, I think that Ada was a very likeable MC. Yes, this series pairs strong and independent women with these Guardians, but Ada did a wonderful job of still being strong but also showing a very compassionate side. That may be in part because her gift was healing and she was not a warrior per se, but I liked her and I liked her with Jasper.

So this is the last book in the Wolf Guardian trilogy of this series. The last Wolf Shifter to be mated with a Well Blessed Human was Jasper and boy did Jasper come with baggage. He had lived a very long time and his past was not pretty. To top it off, he was captured (or was he?) by the King and tortured for over a decade. Then, the mad King cursed him with a curse that completed deleted all of his memories. When Jasper met Ada, he didn't know who he is or what his past had been, he just knew that he wanted Ada.

The story arc was fairly similar to the other mated shifters, but there were some surprises. Add to that the fact that Jasper was the Heir to the Seelie throne and it made for an interesting saga.

We have made it through the first trilogy and now, the next trilogy is going to focus on the Vampires. We have been told that there are three more humans that are going to be coming forward in time. I have a feeling that Indigo might be next up to bat. We will see.......

So long

This story was pas painful. So many psychological issues with both characters. The story just went on and on. It could have been so much better. The other stories prior kept my attention and were sweeter.
