Resumen del Editor

In the long-awaited finale of her riveting Brimstone Angels series, Erin M. Evans thrusts her signature character, Farideh, into an epic battle of good versus evil, rife with deception and intrigue, where the question is as much who is evil as how they can be defeated. The stakes have never been higher, and the fallout will shake the Hells and, through them, the Forgotten Realms.

Before Farideh took a devil's pact, before she was Chosen by the god-king of the Hells, before any of this started, there was Bryseis Kakistos, the original Brimstone Angel, first of Farideh's line. Now, at the end, there is also Bryseis Kakistos - but this time, instead of helping the king of the Hells achieve godhood, she's going to kill him. All she needs is a little help from Farideh - which she should, by all accounts, be happy to give. After all, who could object to killing the king of the Hells? Except, it turns out, Farideh. Because as always, things are far more complicated than they seem.

An things come together.

Erin once again proves that she deserves far more credit than she get.
In an interview she once expressed her happiness at the prospect of being allowed to finish her story, even if at short notice.
Well, she has certainly managed to end her tale with a bang, creating a grand finally both managing to present several new things, while simultaneously managing to try together seemingly endless plot-threads, in addition to some created by others than her own writing (like the physical change of Erinyes between 4th and 5th edition D&D).

Erin also manages to give small bods to several older characters, not having played a role in the story for 1+ books, like Tam Zawad and Queen Raedra Obarskyr.

Lastly, the story is just epic, with tensions running high throughout most-every scene.

My only complaint is that the narrator struggles a bit with delivering consistent representations of the various characters. This being a problem not present in other narrations of hers.

A great ending to a fascinating story

Was tied to this series all the way through. Felt the ends were tied up neatly and character development was done very well. Wish to see how their story fares down the road.

Wow

This whole series was so enjoyable. I’m sad that it’s over. I hope that the author decides to continue the sisters story.

Ferita is kind of dim

After listening to everything, I have come to think that Ferita is dimwitted unlike her great grandmother. She acts without thinking and make things even worse. I believe Harvilla would have made a better wizard

An excellent end to a very satisfying story.

Erin M. Evans finishes her histories of the Realms begun five books ago to satisfying conclusion, with Dina Pearlman's excellent narration maintaining one's connection to the world as always. Faridah and Havilar find a sort of closure in their struggles, though Evans leaves just enough ducks out of line to create further intrugue in the event that WotC remembers that they're a publishing company, not just Ed Greenwood and R. A. Salvatore's personal editing service. That said, it's certainly a complete story with fully realized character arcs across the series. I hope Evans gets further opportunities to explore these characters in the future, but I'm afraid the odds are low.
