Not your usual romance story
This is not so much a romance novel but a story of self discovery in the background of a love story ...definitely not the usual plot...at times very emotional...at times a bit slow...the plot focused more on each individual and other topics, racism, child abduction, family, death, rather than the love and sex.
The narrator was ok...had a slightly annoying rhythm...I think with a better voice actor this book could be superb...as is it was grating and boring at times..but overall good.

Choppy narration
Great story, as always with Courtney Milan. I guess they went with a new narrator because she can speak Chinese, but her English pronunciation is terrible. it seemed like she mispronounced every difficult word. Also her reading was choppy, the sentences broken into bad segments. I hope they return to Rosalyn Landor for the next installment.
