A chance encounter with a stranger known only as 'The Deserter' might be just what Corenne needs as she struggles to survive in Necromunda's underhive.

A tale of faith, hope and sheer dumb luck from the underhive, filled with fascinating characters and chance encounters.

In the underhive of Necromunda, the only law that really matters is that might is right and unless you can defend what's yours, someone else will claim it. That's what happened to Corenne. When the Thunder Knuckle Posse came, they took control of the Sweet Drop Still, sending her family packing. Now, she wants it back, and a chance encounter with a ragged old man known only as 'The Deserter', who claims to have fought in the armies of the vaunted Lord Solar, might just be her salvation - or at least revenge.

Loved This!

Pefect ending and great build up for a short story. One of my favorite characters now!

Pretty good

Voice work is great. Some of the past Warhammer audio dramas have the sound effects way too loud & you can’t understand what’s happening. Not this one- production a lot better.

Also a great price.

Very Engaging

The Deserter deserves his own novel. What a great character fool of intrigue. it's a shame that it's so short.

Fun Short Story

A very good performance in this short tale. The basic premise is a young woman trying to help herself and her mother survive in the wretched conditions of the hive city of Necromunda. While searching for ways to scrap together some money to pay for help getting back their land, the young woman meets a mysterious individual that may or may not be the key to their salvation. Even if you don't know much about Necromunda or Warhammer 40K, you can easily enjoy this one-of story. I'd say definitely pick it up, especially if it's on sale, and enjoy.
