loved the book, can't wait til the next one. can't wait to see what Paxon Leah will be doing with his life. Wish it would've turned out the way I wanted but what kind of trilogy would it be if it ended that way?

Terry at his best from mid to end!

I almost did not finish the first book in this series.. I'm so glad I went back and did after 2 years.. because the second book has been amazing. it starts off kind of slow but he introduces some awesome characters and story lines Midway through and by the ending there is no way I can go on not knowing what happens in book three. Simon Vance narration is spot on! Thanks Terry for another great journey into Shannara!

Trapped in Brooks web

I'm trapped. Anticipating the third (maybe the conclusion?) of the series. So glad I have it in Audible library so I can listen again and be fresh in Brooks' web before the untangling of the third book. Unanswered questions and certainly a questionable title for this part of the story. Never mind that I've read all his collection and "thought" I knew his style, the ending was unexpected and took me off guard. Waiting than, not so patiently for Book 3.

Poor use of character names

Would you listen to another book narrated by Simon Vance?

I would but he needs to try and continue with the names of characters as in other series. i.e. Leah is not pronounced Lee but Le-ah.

One of his better

Simon Vance is great as usual. The story itself is was really good, piggybacking off the last book and giving more depth to Paxon Leah. However, there is one glaring issue with the ending. I am not the one for spoilers, but dang it who wouldn't have explained that they're family?? Hopefully it gets cleared up in the next one.

A great read is always....

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There were moments that keep you on the edge of your seat and the ending was very satisfying. Really looking forward to the next,& last, book in this series.
