Great storytelling is her norm.

Gena Showalter delivered another great Lords story. It’s been a long while since she touched base with the Lords. Glad to see their story move further along and their universe get a little bigger. As always, loved, loved, loved Max Belmore’s narration.

The Demise of Narcissism

The story is good. Really reminiscent of Lucien's storyline. I enjoyed this book. I wonder if there will be any other LOTU type stories.

Didn't think I'd like Viola's story but I loved it

THIS IS A NOVELLA. It says so. I breaks my hearts that people are giving it a low rating because it was a novella.

Brochan is Viola’s biggest fan. Why wouldn’t he love her?! She only took away his brother’s immortality. Everyone who is anyone loves her! No one has ever been able to win her heart though. They all fall short and Brochan is too afraid to try.

This story was funny, exciting, the characters are broken and defeated and my heart hurt for them. I love the sass and snark! I love how layered the characters are and basically I just loved these two together!

I didn't think I would like this story but I was wrong! I loved it!

Terrible

I am an avid fan of this author and narrator. This story however is just terrible.

spent a lot of money for a very short book

considering that this book is worth one credit or $19 Canadian I found it to be very short I story was good but not at the same calibre as her other books in this series I was waiting very patiently for this to come out but I am disappointed. her other books in the series are over 10 hours her books seem to be getting shorter and shorter with the same price, I understand that it does take a lot to write these books and I appreciate the author's time and attention to detail but it just feels like we're stalling with this series and I hope the author reads these reviews and take our opinion to Heart

i feel cheated

The story seemed rushed,and contradicting. I'm not gonna do any spoilers but..it just didn't give off the Lords of the underworld vibe. I feel cheated. the narrator was awesome as always.

a disappointment

i was really looking forward to this but truly there just wasnt much to it. my least favorite of the series.

The Worst Installment

I find this the weakest installment in the entire series. Viola doesn't take anything seriously so I have a hard time taking her plot seriously. Narcissism isn't explored in any meaningful way and is written as a silly airhead instead of an insidious demon. her love interest just seems to latch onto the idea of being with her for no particular reason; he just sees her and pursues her. There is no chemistry in my opinion.

As far as the performance, I unfortunately find this also to be the worst from Max Bellemore. He slurs syllables and almost sounds as though he has a lisp. In my opinion, the emotion he puts into the dialogue is never quite right, but is especially monotone in this volume.

I regret my purchase.
