She’s tired, burned out and looking forward to spending more time with her grandchildren. You will also meet Terence, a 40-year old executive in one of the USA’s largest PR agencies. He knows the industry and after a 20-year career in corporate America, yearns to own his own business. Rather than start a business from scratch (and struggle), he wants to acquire an existing, successful, cash flowing business that already has customers, employees, premises, cash flow and a solid reputation (and succeed). Both Jacqueline and Terence have never bought or sold a business before so the book captures not only the process involved of transferring business ownership but also the drama, emotions and psychology that both buyers and sellers always go through, especially on that first deal.
