Allie is a survivor. She survived the newly post-Jim Crow south, she survived cancer, and she will survive being stalked and kidnapped by Matthew Strong, who seeks to ignite a revolution. Excellent read
This book brought out so many emotions for me—fear, stress, anger, frustration, hope. I envisioned each scene as the narrator progressed as if I had seen it acted out before in film. Definitely recommending for book club.

This audio book is a page turner!
I listened to this book while cooking, cleaning, driving and walking the dog. It grabbed me from the first chapter. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery mixed with real history.
