Resumen del Editor

An uprising looms.

A revenge demanded by Inca Gods.

A prophecy must be fulfilled.

In the Andes searching for a lost Inca city, Hiram Kane's team is infiltrated by two different terrorist factions seeking legendary Inca gold to fund strikes against their enemy. The expedition devolves into the deadliest of treasure hunts and a lethal race against time. When the lives of Kane's loved ones are threatened, it becomes personal.

Catholics versus Incans. Kane must defeat them both.

Win, and he'll prevent a new holy war.

Lose, and the ancient prophecy will unleash catastrophe the world over.

Another great story

This is a new h author for me. I have listened to 2 of the audiobooks so far. This author intrigues me. He did a great job with the story & created characters that are likable or not. I have become a fan of Hiram Kane. The narrator did a great job as well. I recommend this story.

A little stroll in the Jungle

I enjoyed The Condor Prophecy. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for an honest review. A lot of character development in the beginning but watch out here comes the adventure in the jungle. If you like Dirk Pitt or Indiana Jones then this book series is for you. I recommend this book.

A compelling tale of peril and adventure

A tautly plotted novel set in the Andes of Peru. Brilliantly narrated by Kenneth Bryant who manageds to capture the distinct personality of each character. This story is a wild ride and one can never tell what will happen from one chapter to the next. It captures the reader/listener's attention and maintains it until the final page. This was the first book in the series that I have listened to but the story stands alone, although I definitely plan to read the earlier Hiram Kane books now, as well as those that follow this one. Listened to as a free promotional download but this is my voluntary and unbiased review.

A Great Listen

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request, and have voluntarily left this review. If you like adventures about quest for ancient cities, you enjoy this book. There's action, humour, suspense and even a touch of romance as Kane and crew try to find a lost Inca city. Kane believes he has acquired everyone that he'll need on this trek, but soon into this adventure he discovers he has members of two terrorists groups along for the ride. Now he needs a new plan.... You'll find yourself listening far longer then you intended.

Entertaining story

This is the first book I have read/listened to by this author.
I enjoyed the story. I found this story to be great for entertainment. I don’t imagine I will listen to it again, but I would not object to listening to another in this series. Each book is a separate, stand alone adventure.

Through this story, we are given glimpses into the Incan culture, current conditions of the people of Peru, and tidbits about the Spanish control. If this was a true story, I could easily see there being these separate agendas and true purposes behind the desire to find the Lost City.

The team lead by Hiram is looking for the lost Incan city. We learn that there are people on the expedition with opposing beliefs (Catholic and Incan) and many peoples agendas oppose the intent of Hiram’s search for the city. Personalities clash and the lives of all the members of the expedition become threatened. If anyone but Hiram manages to get control of the Incan gold, the fate of the country is in peril.

This is the first book I have listened to by this narrator ( Kenneth Bryant ) and I would listen to another. His cadence is such I never forgot I was being read to, he often pauses for quite a while at the end of each sentence or what seems to be where a comma would be. I think his style made the pauses feel longer than they actually were though. Despite this, he adds emotion to the story and characters which helps bring the story alive. His character voices were good. He used different accents to differentiate. This was to good effect since the characters were of differing nationalities. His female voices were ok.

There are no explicit sex scenes, or excessive violence, i do not recall any swearing.

Enjoyable

The Condor Prophecy, my third read from author Steven Moore. Reminiscent of author Dan Brown & (James) Rollinsesque in the action that never lets up until the end. Well-written action-thriller, with well-developed characters. I’ll be reading more in this series and look forward to The Shadow of Kailash, the next book in the series. Narrator Kenneth Bryant's narration again made this re-read so very enjoyable! "I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Incan Gold

Hiram Kane makes a return journey to the Peruvian Andes in this adventure, hoping to find a lost Incan city and it's rumored gold stores.
Along the way we find out more about what makes Hiram tick, and how he met his on again/off again love Ridley. Throw in militant native Andeans, greedy Catholics, a fame-seeking grad student and an off-his-rocker ex-military American posing as a writer and this is the best Hiram Kane novel yet!

Thrilling adventure

Exciting treasure hunt with villains galore. This was excellent. The narrator was a bit wrong for an adventure. He would be good for a private detective novel perhaps, not sure, but I took longer to get through this than normal because the narrator made me a bit sleepy. That was certainly no fault of the plot though. The story was thrilling. I received a free review copy of the audio version of this book in exchange for an honest review.
