It is part of the Eburosi Chronicles, along with The Horse Mistress and The Lion Mistress. It's not necessary to have read or listened to any of the other books in the series before starting The Dragon Mistress arc.

A special note for Fantasy listeners: Herein, you will find explicit scenes, not all of which are heterosexual. If your gut reaction to that is "Eww" or even "Meh," you probably won't enjoy this series.

OMG.....Loved it

I fell in love with this series absolutely adored the characters great story and the narrator is one of the best she is fantastic

A surprising delight

I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed this series! This is my first foray into this authors work, but now I want to go back and read her other books, because this was so much fun. I loved the character development and I really enjoyed the pacing. This is a real bargain for one credit. My only complaint would be that the narrator uses some accents that are at times cringey and at worse times, bordering on racial stereotypes. I don’t really think this reflects the writing itself, because I did not notice the content having this issue, as much as just the voices that were being used for the characters. If you think that that will be a dealbreaker for you, I would definitely advise buying these books wherever you get your e-books because they were really a treat.

Loved it!!

The store it's self was very good and keep me interested and entertained throughout the whole series, plus the sex scenes were steamy and creative. I love all the voices she does for all the men characters but not not a fan you her regular/basic main character female voice. That wasn't enough to keep me from the book thankfully because it was well worth it every minute.

Dragon riders

What a journey. I enjoyed Frella and the different relationship she had with her men. I loved how she slowly grew to become the confident dragon rider.

Best one yet!

This is the best "Mistress of" box set yet! Loved it! It was also great to learn more about the continent.

I get chills every time one of these series within a series ends. I can't wait for the next one!!!!

Loved Every Part of This!

This one i loved so much i also had to download the books so i could switch back and forth! I truly loved the characters and them overcoming there past with a feisty little herion/hellion to help them along. The Narrative was also excellent as too often the narrater can completely turn me off of a good story. Highly recommended! Especially if you love some M/M action.

R.A. Steffan is a masterful storyteller

This series is one of my most favorite. Though at times it was slow, the adventure was wonderful. I was laughing, yelling, and cursing throughout the whole series.

loved the story

If you love dragons, sexual freedom, and drama, this book is for you. There was a lot of world building, traveling, drama, and adventure. The moment one thing was cleared up, something else would happen. I felt all the emotions. Book three almost ruined me, but I kept pressing forward. So glad I did. I have to say, I was really disappointed with the ending. Trying my best to avoid spoilers. For all their hard work on protecting the dragons future, I felt they just abandoned everything once they achieved their final goal. I had hoped for more, but maybe there will be more in the following series.

After reading the whole collection, the only negative I can think of was the constant repetition of things. We know what's happening and by book three we shouldn't have to be repeating the same thing over and over and over again since we're in book three and the same for book four.

I felt the narrator did a great job with the different voices. however, there were a couple of times when I think the narrator forgot who they were conversating as and I would have to back it up and re-listen knowing that they were using the wrong voice for a specific character.

A possible trigger for some: sexual abuse is discussed. There are some steamy scenes throughout the books, to include MFM, MMF, MMFM, FF, and MF.
