Simply Captivating

The Disruption Trilogy holds its weight in the post-apocalyptic genre. I listened to the entire series in a few short days. Kevin Pierce's narration, like always, was excellent. Very few novels have brought me to tears and this was one of them. The various characters and their development throughout the story left nothing to be desired. My only criticism is that I would have preferred fewer battle scenes and more inter-character dialogue in the final book. That being said, the story had a proper ending, something most authors these days seem to be incapable of writing. I was also pleased with the author's treatment of Christianity and people of faith.

An A+ read/listen. I recommend this title.

at first I didnt like the book, however I soon realized I just didnt understand the book. as I continued to listen I began to know the characters & wanted to know what was next for them & their friends. and the rest was history...until the end..no zombies lol. it really does end on a good note.

This was a fantastic book everyone should read. It was well thought out narration is great and fall in love with the characters.

Great Story and Great Narration!

Spoiler Alert!!! This was a great and intense listen! There were times where I had to stop listening so my blood pressure could come back to normal. At the end of the 39 hours of story my only complaint was that I wanted more. My only complaints are that the antagonists did not receive a satisfying demise and that the prologue did not touch on all of the living prominent characters (good and bad).

Believeable?

The author wondered if he could write a post-apocalyptic work that would be believable. Wow!! Wonder no more! One of the most riveting things I’ve ever encountered that left me gripping the steering wheel of my car, reaching for Kleenex, or raising my fist in celebration as the story moves from character to character, scene to scene. If you are a realist, survivalist, or just what to wander off into another place and time... this is it. Must warn you, tho’ the place and time isn’t SO far distant, which makes this all the more compelling. What would you do; what would happen in your life/world if six months from now we have no electricity and no way to communicate with anyone beyond those in your immediate vicinity or those who knock on your door in the ‘name’ of help/survival? AND... there’s no apparent end to fix it????

Character development is fantastic. You can know these people well enough to hear their voices.

Good read!

Good post apocalypse read. Well balanced story with plenty of suspense. I live near Beaumont, TX and was truly impressed by the authors depth of research into the setting of his story. Driving through Port Arthur, TX I made my wife laugh many times by pointing out different scenes from the book. All in all, a good read and well worth the time.

Great writing and reading. Makes an impact

I don't like most apocalyptic stories. I mainly like Sci fi military and alike. It was so realistic it made it hard for me to continue after I determined it was not what I normally liked. I did not read the description first. While the realism made it hard the great writing and performance made me have to finish. I am glad it did!!!

One of the best audio books I have listened too.

Great trilogy books kept me one the edge of my seat from beginning to end. Will listen to more from this author.
