These stories were okay but so short it was hard to get invested plus I am not a fan of the back and forth of view points. Bain referring to himself as “us” is irritating so, very Bain. Also, I don’t want to relive Covid 29 lockdown which was the heart of the last book with the first two leading up to it. It’s too uncomfortable and unnecessary. IMO. I was confused by these three books because I didn’t know there was a Cullen Bain series since it’s still Police Scotland. Ed James has the order of which books to read when. Basically it’s just Vicki Dobbs interlaced between PS Books. Too late for me as I usually read/listen to books in order and this set was not yet on Audible. But good to know.
