"The Chronology Protection Case" radio play, a science fiction murder mystery, features Shanahan in the role of Dr. Phil D'Amato, the forensic detective who appears in Levinson's acclaimed novels, The Silk Code, The Consciousness Plague, and The Pixel Eye. When D'Amato is approached by the distraught wife of a missing scientist whose work is embroiled in secrecy, he is plunged into an adventure with a terrifying and powerful force of nature at the heart of a series of mysterious deaths.

Thoughtful, well performed and escapist in a way that few audio experiences can be. With a bit of wit, and a nod and wink to great scientific thought, this story allows the listener to contemplate extemely complex advanced science while enjoying a murder mystery with an old fashioned feel - it will give anyone goosebumps. I hope there are more audio stories out there that are like this. I was really absorbed on my return trip after dropping my mother in law off at home. I hope I can find more like this as it is about a 40 minute drive.
I love to read but the production values of this reminded me of when I used to listen to radio mystery theatre as a kid. It was better off performed than read.
Enough said (written), I am a fan of this story.
