Great Mix of Genres

I loved this book. It brought me back to the days of Twin Peaks with its interesting characters and twisted circumstances. Mixed with a bit of dark sci-fi, witchcraft and David Lynchian weirdness, The Cabin on Souder Hill is a total winner. I couldn't break away from this novel.

Loved the story, didn't liked the narration.

It took me a while to get used to the narrator and all the moans and whispers she did at the end of the words. It was so annoying! Why? Just why? Buy the story was interesting, so I kept going. I'm glad I did because I really enjoyed! It's certainly is an odd one, but the ending was satisfying.

Overall entertaining

Too many uses of the word queer. Have to wonder why. Ending was a bit weak & unsatisfying.

Interesting Story

The book was good however, there was a lot of vulgarity and random sexual stuff all throughout. That part made it a little less enjoyable.

This is an interesting story that keeps you wanting to know what's going to happen next, with an unexpected twist towards the end.

The narrator mostly did a good job. Although sometimes it felt like she was talking with a strain. I think this was part of one of the character's traits, but I noticed it over and over again during the actual "story telling" parts. When you're listening to books, things like this really stand out.

One last thing, although not a deal breaker to buy the book... it's just somewhat annoying. If you listen to this book, I challenge you to count the number of times the word "queer" (as in odd or strange) is said. Pretty sure it's the author's favorite word.

I was surprisingly ingulf enjoying the layers of the story. Overall a really great listen!

So if You’re Into Witches…

So if You’re Into Witches… you’ll like the book. I feel like a hypocrite, because I liked the movie The Butterfly Effect, but this book fell short. I don’t care for the supernatural and I find myself slogging along until the end. It would’ve been better if I skipped it altogether.

I'm still working on finishing the story and it's alright so far, except part of chapter 4 is reread 3×

This book should definitely be turned onto a movie! It was soooooo good! A must read!
