I wasn’t sure about this book as I had never ready any Shirley Jump books but I really enjoyed the book!

Very sweet, not sugary.

Such a good book... the characters are all so colorful and real, as if they exist off the page in truth. The story has a streak of unbelievability but at the same time is perfectly plausible. There is such depth to each personality and back story that it all works beautifully. I knew these people, all of them.

And the narrators performance was sheer perfection!

Funny and light hearted.

I loved the crazy grandma and the funny storyline as well as the main character.
