Oh, Now I get it...

As a Michael Connelly fan I have come to expect an authentic feel, two compelling stories (about the life and personality of Bosch or Haller or McCaleb and about the case they are working), and timeliness as characters progress and age. The Brass Verdict is every good as you would expect, but it starts to raise questions... like Wait, the daughter (who we know is in college) is living with his ex-wife (who we know is dead) and Bosch and Haller meet but don't know their brothers, except we know they are..... Oh. I get it. This is like a back-story. I like it. And I like the hints about relationships to come. #foreshadowing #Old Friends #Backstory # #mystery #Tagsgiving #Sweepstakes

good read, little over produced

music throughout the book was a bit annoying, but otherwise a great read. good story.

Connelly amazes again

Possibly my favorite Connelly story yet. Surprises at every turn. Bosch makes it even better.

Great story!

This is my second Mickey Haller novel and I am really enjoying this series. I have purchased the next two. Michael Connelly is an excellent writer and does a good job at creating believable characters, with depth, that you are about.

Many years ago, I was introduced to the Bosch novels in paperback. I enjoyed those, too and even watched a season of Bosch on Amazon Prime. Michael Connelly is talented and I will likely get into the Bosch series again. Bit, for now — can’t get enough of the Haller series.

You can go wrong. It’s the worth the credit.

The narrator was ok. Not horrible or annoying - just not among the best that I have heard on audible. I will not likely purchase another book with the musical accompaniment.

I have always enjoyed Michael Connelly stories and this one was made better with the faint underlying music setting the tone.

this was a great listen. the music that goes along with the reader helps carry you along the journey.

Terrible Production

The constant music was so annoying, I almost gave up on the book at the beginning of the listen. On top of that, there were at least 2 sections where the volume dropped significantly. I had to turn up the volume and then got blasted when the recording returned to its normal audio levels.

The narrator was solid; sorry if the one star for performance implies his narration was bad — it wasn’t.

Despite the terrible production, I was eventually able to mainly ignore it, and ended up riveted to the story.

I want more

Love the series can’t wait for the next books.

Great story and detail I enjoy listening all day

This is my second time listening to the Bosch series. I have intermingled the Lincoln, lawyer series and the poet series with at this time. I love how Michael Conley weaves his characters together. I’ve never had a desire to go to Los Angeles, but after listening, so many Michael Connelly books I feel like I just need to go out there and see some of these places about to start the next bus now

I couldn’t stop listening

The story, how it was changing and unpredictable. The only thing I disliked was when background noise and music came on randomly.
