The Brass Verdict: Booktrack Edition adds an immersive musical soundtrack to your audiobook listening experience!*

Things are finally looking up for defense attorney Mickey Haller. After two years of wrong turns, Haller is back in the courtroom. When Hollywood lawyer Jerry Vincent is murdered, Haller inherits his biggest case yet: the defense of Walter Elliott, a prominent studio executive accused of murdering his wife and her lover. But as Haller prepares for the case that could launch him into the big time, he learns that Vincent's killer may be coming for him next.

Enter Harry Bosch. Determined to find Vincent's killer, he is not opposed to using Haller as bait. But as danger mounts and the stakes rise, these two loners realize their only choice is to work together.

*Booktrack is an immersive format that pairs traditional audiobook narration to complementary music. The tempo and rhythm of the score are in perfect harmony with the action and characters throughout the audiobook. Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute. When you purchase this Booktrack edition, you receive the exact narration as the traditional audiobook available, with the addition of music throughout.

Reseñas de la Crítica

"The Brass Verdict has the sneaky metabolism of any Connelly book. It starts slowly, moves calmly, hides pertinent bits of information in plain sight and then abruptly ratchets up its energy for the denouement....In the midst of this new story, Mickey rebounds with a vengeance....Like Harry Bosch's mojo, Mickey Haller's is liable to work well for a long time." (Janet Maslin, New York Times)

"The answer to every Connelly fan's dream: Hieronymus Bosch meets the Lincoln Lawyer....By turns wary, competitive, complementary, cooperative and mutually predatory....Connelly brings his two sleuths together in a way that honors them both" (Kirkus Reviews)

"A beautifully executed crime thriller... Bosch might have met his match in the wily Haller, and readers will delight in their sparring." (Publishers Weekly)

Good story overall and very interesting, but I have to say that I love the background soundtrack. It added another interesting dimension to the listening experience that I throughly enjoyed!

Nice!

this was a good story line and not predictable like so many mysteries are. I liked how they found out they were brothers at the end of the book.

I really enjoyed listening to this.

I could not remember if I had read this book or not. It seemed familiar but I could not remember the plot, but despite the obnoxious and loud music of the audio version, I was once again addicted to the book from beginning to end. (I did not lower the score because it would have been unfair to the reader. Next book I hope they ditch the music.) I highly recommend the paper version over the audio version.
Michael Connelly’s "The Brass Verdict" is a best seller and I can attest to that having read it and listened to it. It puts together two protagonists: Mickey Haller and Harry Bosch. This is Mickey Haller's story, not Harry's, but Harry is featured in a pivotal way.
Mickey Haller is planning to return to his practice of law after taking a year off when he is summoned to a judge’s chamber to be informed that he has inherited an entire practice from a colleague who has been murdered.
Of all people, Harry Bosch is the investigator assigned to the murder case. With two such strong independent figures, Haller and Bosch are sure to conflict.
Great mystery with two twists at the very end that I did not see coming. One lays the groundwork for future collaborations between Haller and Bosch.

Fantastic book if you can overlook the music

The Voice had a bit of SoCal Surfer accent and was a little distracting I preferred the previous narrator

Good story

As always, Connelly writes a compeling and interesting story but I have to tell you that I don't appreciate music as background. Not sure I can even finish it... :(

What's with the music!?!?!?!

Great book.
I enjoyed the narration and music sprinkled around. Looking forward to listening to the next one

Saw the Netflix series and now waiting for more additions. This is as good as them plus. Having seen the acting helps add visuals to the characters but does not take away from the excitement.

Great Novel

Connelly never disappoints…. I have read and will keep reading more of his books. I typically go for the more gothic horrors type genre, but Connelly’s books are absolutely riveting and all encompassing. They are well written and thought out. If you’re looking for a great thriller with twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat, then Connelly is your man!

Absolutely enthralling

Story was great. The background music and sound effects were annoying to the point that the overall rating was severely degraded.

Bad Background

Mr. Connelly has my attention. I will follow the Lincoln Lawyer and Bosch until I complete both series. I enjoy Peter Giles narration and will attempt to locate his work for other novelists. I highly recommend.
