The books of the Bible were written at different times by different authors over a period of approximately 1,500 years from around 1400BC through 90AD. The Old Testament was written in Biblical Hebrew with the exception of the Books written during "the Chaldean captivity", such as Daniel and Ezra, which were written in "Biblical Aramaic" during the "Chaldean captivity". Many of the Books of the Old Testament bear the names of the Prophets who authored them. Moses compiled the earlier parts of Genesis and directly authored the remaining portion.

This newer edition of the King James Bible published in 1769 is usually preferred by most that read it over the older 1611 version. This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed.... the book itself is what I love ... she reads in with sincerity and there is not a religious undertone. I'm glad I bought it.What other book might you compare The Book of Psalms: King James Version to and why?
I currently listen to Alexander Scourby read the whole Bible. I rate his presentation very highly. I found this version on kindle a fresh voice to listen to...and like I said above, I like that there is not a religious tone to her presentation as well.Which character – as performed by Diane Havens – was your favorite?

What would have made The Book of Psalms: King James Version better?
This audiobook doesn't open on my Kindle Fire HD nor does it open on my laptop. (It did download). I feel so taken. :( . I have bought the KJV Bible and that downloads and it's audioable and very enjoyable. I wish I could say the same about this book. What would make this book better would be to be able to listen to it.Very disapointed!
