Epic Fantasy Lovers, This is a Must Read!
In my top 5 reads this year, so much so that I both read the physical copy and listened to the audiobook as well!
The fantasy genre has been plagued with throw away stories of late, whether from just bad writing, predictable storylines, or lackluster world-building that feel bland and unimaginative. If you are in need of a wonderfully crafted epic/high fantasy novel look no further. The Blood of the Spear has it all, a world that feels bustling with life, adventure, and characters that you’ll grow to love, despite their flaws (just like real people). Action scenes are fast paced and suck you in, lore of the world is weaved within the story effortlessly, and descriptions of scenery make you feel like you’re there (without being over the top/breaking immersion).
As an added bonus the narrator is easy on the ears and embodies character voice’s superbly. I would recommend this one to any and all! I’m now not so patiently waiting for book 2!
