Resumen del Editor

During 1966 and 1967, when he was subject to nonstop surveillance and harassment from both human and supernatural spooks, intrepid Fortean investigator John A. Keel made extensive field notes concerning the phenomena he was confronting in West Virginia and New York: UFOs, Men in Black, creature entities, ultraterrestrials, and odd coincidences and synchronicities. The result was a series of concise, thematically related reports, many of which were incorporated into magazine articles for Saga, Fate, and Flying Saucer Review.

In these papers, Keel unravels threads discussed in his classic books Operation Trojan Horse, The Mothman Prophecies, and The Eighth Tower, which were written soon after. Utilizing occult lore, recent scientific research, and direct personal investigation, Keel draws back the curtain on the mind-blowing nature of our terrestrial reality.

By looking deeply into specific cases, Keel begins to understand that there are different types of UFOs, surmising that the “aliens” and their apparent buddies, the MIB, may emanate from a breakaway civilization bent on controlling the human race. Surprisingly, Keel's research into Mothman could play a key role in deciphering the mystery of “Ancient Aliens” - whether or not the human race was actually created, genetically, by giant birdmen mating with Earth women.

This special edition features a revised introduction by Keel, a note from the editor, Andy Colvin, and interesting correspondence between Keel and other notables in the Mothman saga: Mary Hyre, Gray Barker, Jerome Clark, Ivan Sanderson, Charles Bowen, Jim Lorenzen, Jaye Paro, and the infamous “outer space” denizens “Apol” and “Agar”.

Enlightening Keel, Steadfast Ferrand

I enjoy the John Keel audiobooks on Audible, and this one is as eye-opening and funny as any of the others. After reading The Mothman Prophecies I became a true Keel and Mothman fan. Pete Ferrand reads Keel's wise words like a no-nonsense newsman from some alternate other-dimensional 1972. Eccentric, comical, intrepid, well-read but perfectly clear for all readers and listeners, John Keel will simultaneously transport you back to elbow-greased times before the Internet, and into speculative dimensions that the pitiable human apparatus may never fully be able to penetrate. This fearless man created a bold, darkling Americana that shall stand forever as a testament to freedom, fun and curiosity about the vast unknown. Ferrand dutifully renders the master's observations as few others could do.

A Fan Of John Keel, but this weak

A postmortem JK book assembled by a bad editor. No particular story line, just a lot of repetitive correspondence. Weak. Narrator at times seems to not have reviewed material before opening mouth. Altogether a waste of a credit and a disservice to Keels legacy.
