She is determined to get Isabel's beloved apple orchard vibrant again. She hires the inexperienced Dylan Hayes, a woman soon to be homeless, to take on the chore of restoring the orchard to its original glory.

The normally quiet and reserved Madilyn finds a new joy in life as she becomes friends with the outgoing and energetic woman who has come to live on the property. As she is transformed from a stoic and passive heiress to a happy and spirited woman, she realizes the similarities of her journey and that of Isabel's.

Like Isabel, is she destined to marry a man she doesn't love? Or will she find the strength that eluded Isabel and follow her heart?

Absolutely LOVED this book

Well worth the read... the love story that's behind the book was unexpected and beyond heartwarming. I'm usually not a crier but the story broke me. So so sad, but I understood being the time it took place. I highly recommend this book. I will definitely will re-listen to this book.

From the Beginning to the End!

O. M. Goodness…without a doubt, this is one of the most well written, well performed stories ever. The love that grows between the two main characters captures you from the very beginning and will hold your attention to the end.
Abby’s voice, as she reads the personal diary will probably make you cry. She performs it flawlessly, tears and all!
